On January 23, 2018, the City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) began the process to amend its rules. This is part of an initiative to streamline the process for approving everyday work on designated properties. The new rules will also provide more transparency and efficiency in the regulatory process.

LPC will host a public hearing on the proposed rules on March 27th, and in advance of that we invite you to join us for a briefing with LPC Chair Meenakshi Srinivasan to learn more about the proposed rules amendments. You can find more information on the proposed rules here.

AIANY will be hosting an informational session with LPC Chair Srinivasan on Friday, March 2nd at 8am in Tafel Hall at The Center for Architecture (536 LaGuardia Place). This event is open to the public, and we invite all to attend.

If you have any questions about the event or the rules change, you can reach out to Adam Roberts, Government Affairs Coordinator, at aroberts@aiany.org or 212-358-6116.

We look forward to seeing you.

Speaker: Meenakshi Srinivan, Chair, Landmarks Preservation Commission
