Responsive Scaffolding: Emergency Relief
How is scaffolding used in response to emergency situations? Quickly deployed and configurable to myriad contexts, scaffolding performs a vital role in stabilizing damaged structures, constructing new shelters, and providing temporary forms of access. This discussion presents both local and international case studies in order to draw attention to and expand the possibilities of scaffolding as a tool to help mitigate crises and assist in disaster relief efforts.
This program is presented as part of Scaffolding on view at the Center for Architecture through January 18, 2018.
