Cornell Tech is committed to developing pioneering leaders and technologies for the digital age, and its mission of collaboration and innovation is reflected in the physical design of its Roosevelt Island campus. The first phase of the campus opened September 2017 and includes: The Bloomberg Center, the first academic building that pioneers new standards in building performance and sustainability; The Bridge, a first-of-its-kind building bringing academia and industry together to get new technologies and products to market; and The House, a residential building for students, faculty, and staff that is the world’s first Passive House high-rise. When fully completed over the next few decades, the campus will span 12 acres on Roosevelt Island and house approximately 2,000 students and hundreds of faculty and staff.
