Creativity, knowledge, and technology are means of expression, communication, and interaction.

In a world dominated by technology, do we really give the right importance to each of these factors? Do we fully understand their meaning? And do we know how they relate to each other?

As a researcher in the art and technology field focusing on computational processes, Alfonso Oliva is constantly looking for answers to enhance the way we perceive creative design ideas.

This talk, structured in two parts, will first introduce the audience to computational approaches in the design of sculptural works and complex geometries. In the second part, it will present an experimental research project developed from a series of interviews to a set of creative minds from different industries and of different ages (from 5 to 75 years old). The research work aims on redefining the meaning of creativity, knowledge, and technology and exploring their direct interaction.

Speaker: Alfonso Oliva, Director, LERA+
