The Changing Face of North Midtown: On and Off 57th Street

Much of the new construction in Midtown Manhattan has been, and continues to be, on or near 57th Street. This extensive tour will traverse Midtown from East to West, ending at the concentration of significant architecture on and near Columbus Circle.

Highlights include buildings by Cesar Pelli, Norman Foster, Christian de Portzamparc, Rafael Vinoly, I. M. Pei, Edward Larrabee Barnes, Helmut Jahn, KPF, SOM, and Robert A. M. Stern, as well as historic structures by Henry Hardenbergh, Warren & Wetmore, and Cass Gilbert. New and forthcoming supertall residential towers will be included.
