VirtualRealityintheRealWorld

When: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15

Where: At The Center

Virtual reality is making a big splash in the design industry, and it seems like every week there are new ways to think about storytelling and creating experiences. But what does it actually mean to our design process and to our clients, and does it help or hinder our built work? How do we keep up with the ever-changing pace of the AEC industry while engaging our clients and watching the bottom line? Gensler’s Digital Design team will walk through their last year of research into virtual and augmented reality, share project stories on hits and misses, and describe how innovation from other industries can help shape our design futures.

The Digital Design team at Gensler’s New York office is a team of specialists who focus on digital technology as an instigator of creativity and an integrator of complex reality, and provide the highest quality design and delivery for Gensler’s clients. The team leverages its expertise through research and practice to ensure Gensler remains a long term industry leader in today’s fast paced technical innovation.

Speakers:
Mark Pollock, AIA, LEED AP, Regional Digital Design Director, Gensler
Chang-Yeon Cho, AIA, LEED AP, Digital Design Specialist, Gensler
