The AIANY Transportation + Infrastructure Committee is kicking off 2018 with an evening of ideas, discussions, and community building. We will explore the Infrastructure policy issues that we face in the New York City Metropolitan region and connect with our members to build a successful plan for 2018.

The Committee will present “The Framework” a recently released AIANY Chapter Transportation + Infrastructure Committee’s Policy Framework. This document builds on the Committee’s mission of advocacy for quality planning as well as design of transportation and infrastructure for sustainable growth in the New York City Region. “The Framework” lays out positions on the inter-related issues of:  mobility, placemaking, sustainability, building smarter, and planning/financing. It serves as a guide for architects, planners and policy makers.

Following the presentation, the T+I Committee co-chairs will present the 2018 AIANY T+I Initiatives and attendees will participate in break-out working groups on Public Programs, Advocacy Outreach and Design Awards.

This program embraces the AIANY Presidential theme: Architect Activist.
