The AIANY Cultural Facilities Committee invites you to join us for a creative and inspiring tour of Urban Art Projects New York‘s (UAP) workshop in the Hudson Valley. The program will also include a tour of the working studio of an abstract painter and sculptor.

Incredible things don’t just happen; they’re created, nurtured, and believed in. Arts, culture, and creativity have always played a vital role in bringing people together. UAP continues this tradition with an enduring belief that creativity can inspire incredible possibilities. Through this workshop tour, participants will explore the latest UAP projects, delving into modern methods of art-making and the integration between art, architecture, and design.

Tranportation
Depart from Grand Central Station at 8:46 am to Beacon Station. UAP will provide transport between Beacon, UAP, and the artist’s studio. The tour of the artist’s studio will begin at 11:00 am, followed by a box lunch and a tour of the UAP facilities. Participants will return to the Beacon Station by 3:00 pm.

Registration is limited. Tour will occur rain or shine. Box lunch is included in the price of registration. Transportation to and from Beacon is NOT included in the price of registration.

Tour Guide:
Mike Price, Associate, UAP | Urban Art Projects New York

Mike Price graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Art in 2014. With over seven years of art foundry and fabrication experience, his background allows him to quickly and efficiently dive into conversations with new and existing clients who approach UAP with an inquiry for new work. In 2018, Price began working as a fabricator for Polich Tallix, and since that time, he has forged many relationships with members of the team across all departments. Price’s goal is to continue working closely with the team and build upon the incredible amount of knowledge here to instill in our clients that our facility is unmatched for art foundry and fabrication in the US.

This event is offered in person; proof of vaccination (for those eligible) and masking are required in order to attend.
