This event will explore potential mechanisms for funding community based development, and will examine various models of community based development, with a particular focus on housing and projects developed in practice. We’ll explore how these can serve as case studies for community organizations funding their own projects.  The goals of the course are to ask, What is equitable development? Should it be diverse and inclusive? What is housing justice and How do we get here? What is a healthy community and what are the components of it? What are the benefits of mixed income communities? What are the tools to create successful home ownership communities? How can I leverage Economic development to improve communities?
