This 8-session after-school class introduces students to SketchUp, a fun and free digital design program used by professional designers. Students will learn the ins and outs of the software, and of the architectural design process, as they create designs for their own ideal personal shelter. Develop a unique piece for your portfolio and gain skills to continue 3D digital modeling for personal or school projects.

Students will need a laptop or desktop computer, a three-click mouse, and Windows 10, 8, or 7 or Mac OS 10 operating system to download SketchUp software. Web-based software can be used on a Chromebook, but Digital Design classes cannot be done on a tablet or phone.

If you are interested in applying for a need-based scholarship, please see the scholarship information and Financial Need Form here. The Scholarship Application deadline is December 30.
