Building energy use accounts for a high percentage of carbon emissions in cities around the world. Fortunately, cities such as New York are taking bold steps to tackle their largest source of carbon emissions and improve the efficiency of the buildings that make up their skylines. To accomplish this, New York City recognized the need to closely collaborate with the private sector, with the support of efficiency incentives and innovative programs to dramatically reduce carbon in buildings.

Join the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and expert panelists representing developers, corporate real estate, professional services firms, and the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) in an in-depth panel discussion on the fundamental changes needed to meet the City’s ambitious 80 x 50 carbon reduction targets.

Learn how these groups are coming together to chart the evolution in Landlord-Tenant collaboration achieved through green leasing practices, efficient tenant build-outs, and optimized operations and maintenance. Findings from this type of collaboration can be applied today to ambitious building performance policies nationwide.
