Moisture Intrusion, Stop It and Stop Mold

This course provides an overview of mold prevention. Topics in this course include: Types of moisture intrusions, how to detect them, how to prevent them and what to do once they occur. This course does not cover all situations and all potentially useful methods or techniques. Participants will leave the course with an understanding of ways to indicate the types of moisture intrusion and how water, moisture and vapor moves through a building.

Lee Wasserman, Founder, LEW Corp.

Lee Wasserman is a nationally recognized industry leader who specializes in Environmental Lead-Based Paint and Microbial Issues. In 1991, he founded LEW Corp. which has grown into a full service property oriented environmental entity. Wasserman has worked on several thousand multi- and single-family housing units throughout the country. It was this hard work that earned Wasserman and LEW Corp. prestigious awards such as the 2013 New Jersey Envirnomental Health Association Presidents Award, the New York Association of Building Owners(ABO) in 2003 Emma Lazarus Award, the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) Presidents Award in 1999, and NJAA Business Partner of Year in 2009 and 2011. Most recently, Wasserman was recognized as a subject expert by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in Acknowledgements of the 2012 “Guidelines for the Evaluation and Control of Lead Based Paint Hazards in Housing”. He was one of a few non-governmental employees requested by the Federal government for his industry expertise to comment and review this foundational documentation for the lead-based paint industry. Wasserman has also written, been quoted, or been interviewed by several media platforms. He is most proud of authoring Mold – What Every Professional Real Estate Manager Needs to Know  for the Institute for Real Estate Managers (IREM).
