The AIANY Cultural Facilities Committee invites you to a guided tour of LongHouse Reserve Grounds. Advanced registration is required for this event.

LongHouse Reserve was founded by Jack Lenor Larsen, internationally known textile designer, author, and collector, encompassing nearly 16 acres of East Hampton Township’s great Northwest Woods and present the landscape as an art form while offering a diversity of sites for sculpture installations. The garden plays host to sculptures by well-known artists including Blue Cobalt Spears, by Dale Chihuly; the Fly’s Eye Dome, designed by Buckminster Fuller; Play it By Trust, by Yoko Ono; Reclining Figure by Willem de Kooning; Irregular Progression by Sol LeWitt and Tumbling Woman by Eric Fischl.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start time. This tour will begin at 1:00pm and will run rain or shine. There will be time to explore the museum grounds after the guided portion of the tour. Boxed lunch will be provided and is included in the price of registration.

Directions: The Hampton Jitney and Hampton Luxury Line run frequent buses. The LIRR (Montauk Line) is often cheaper and faster to East Hampton. Cab or Uber service is recommended from the train station. Transportation to East Hampton is NOT included in the price of registration.

Please Note: Registration for AIA New York and Center for Architecture events constitutes your agreement to the use of you and your guest(s) image or voice in event-related digital and print reproductions (photo/video/etc). If you do NOT agree, email

As a reminder, AIA National policy requires participants to attend the entire educational portion of an event to receive continuing education credits. We encourage all participants to arrive on time to comply with this policy.
