Introduction to the Living Product Challenge

The Living Product Challenge certification calls on manufacturers to walk the talk of restorative sustainability by making their own operations Net Positive with respect to water, energy, climate, waste and ecological impacts.

Humanscale is a leader in pushing beyond the status quo and has successfully achieved Living Product Certification. We will be joined by Humanscale’s Sustainability Officer, Jane Abernethy who will provide an overview of the Living Product Challenge and how Humanscale products achieved this certification. Jane has been pivotal in guiding the product development effort to create the most sustainable products possible and works with the manufacturing facilities to instill sustainability as the fundamental way of operating. Jane is on the board of directors for the HPD Collaborative and Vice Chair of BIFMA’s Sustainability Committee.

After this presentation, the audience will be able to understand the key components of the Living Product Challenge and understand how the products you manufacture can be transformed to meet the performance standards.
