As COVID-19 increases digitally-driven deliveries, how can logistics and equity be fused more closely? Intensified stress on digital/physical networks has heightened the urgency for rethinking how equity and efficiency are integrated in the movement of goods, services, information, and people. Building network capacity and resilience, for long-term sustainability, requires an honest account of how benefits and burdens are distributed through systems. That account begins by interrogating issues like: the tangible effects of how things are moved by the system, the role and risks of essential delivery workers, and the implications of private ownership of global infrastructure.
