RPA Virtual Assembly

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Regional Plan Association’s annual Assembly is going virtual. RPA will be hosting a series of free online panels in May and June addressing the immediate and long-term effects of COVID-19 on the region’s health, economy, and infrastructure. On June 10th, RPA will host, “Our Region’s Digital Future.” The COVID-19 crisis has revealed the need for broad deployment and acceleration of next gen telecommunications infrastructure to ensure that all of the region’s residents and businesses are connected to reliable and fast networks. And it has shown us how unequal access is widening the opportunity gap across the region. This panel will discuss the challenges and solutions for deploying the infrastructure required to support universal connectivity and economic recovery and the public/private sector collaboration we need to achieve a 21st century digital region.
