As demand for high-performance buildings increases, building professionals in both public and private sectors are turning to Passive House to meet public policy objectives, improve occupant productivity and wellbeing, and minimize energy demands. In New York, Passive House is coming to light as an effective compliance pathway for Local Law 97 (which sets carbon emissions budgets for large buildings) and critical tool in advancing New York State carbon neutrality goals.  Passive House projects are often defined by their robust building enclosures but their balanced, highly efficient ventilation systems are equally important.

Join Building Energy Exchange and New York Passive House for a presentation on a pair of large high-performance projects deploying innovative energy recovery ventilation (ERV) systems. Featuring two high rise towers pursuing Passive House certification, 211 West 29th Street and 511 East 86th street, this program will shine light onto the range of cutting-edge ERV solutions: centralized ERV, large units designed for disassembly and easy transport, and more.  Learn directly from project teams about how strategies for airtightness, insulation, and thermal bridging all synergize in the design and implementation of these innovative ventilation systems.

For Passive House practitioners, or anyone interested in high-performance ventilation solutions, this is not to be missed.
