EXPLORE THE ARCHITECTURE OF VILLAINRY… Tra Publishing and NeueHouse invite members of the media and interested public to a book launch and panel discussion featuring Lair: Radical Homes and Hideouts of Movie Villains.

Why do bad guys live in good houses? Join us for a wide-ranging panel discussion about architecture, film, and the iconic homes of movie villains. Moderated by film critic Chris Nashawaty, panelists include renowned architect Chad Oppenheim, co-editor of Lair; visual effects expert Carlos Fueyo, who created the book’s renderings and architectural illustrations; film professionals, film critics, and others.

Seating is limited. For more information contact Andrea Burnett at andrea@andreaburnett.com or 650.207.0917. For more information about Lair or to order a copy, visit trapublishing.com.

About the book: Like evil itself, the abodes of movie villains are frequently compelling and seductive. Lair considers 15 villains’ lairs from recent film history, with a focus on modern architecture. Films considered include The Spy Who Loved Me, The Incredibles, Ex Machina, and Blade Runner 2049. Contents include essays and interviews featuring production designers and other industry professionals. The book is visually stunning and unusual, printed in silver ink on black paper. Tra Publishing is a boutique art book publishing house based in Miami; its titles are distributed worldwide through Simon & Schuster.
