One of the benefits of associations is the opportunity to unite voices and expertise to influence policy and regulations. As the professional association representing over 5,500 of New York’s architects and associated professionals, AIANY has taken a leading stance on numerous political issues affecting New York.
Member engagement is critical to successfully advocating for the best interests of architecture and architects, so please join this workshop on AIANY efforts. We’ll review key issues on the 2019 Advocacy Plan, explore how to work with elected officials and members of the bureaucracy on issues of the built environment, and lay out how members can participate.
You will also have the opportunity to network with members already partaking in AIANY’s advocacy efforts around various issues including professional practice, sustainability, affordable housing, and more.
