The AIANY New Practices Committee hosts a series of lectures by winning firms of the New Practices New York 2018 Competition. This lecture series will be held at the new Benjamin Moore Showroom. New Practices New York, a biennial competition since 2006, serves as New York City’s preeminent platform to recognize and promote new and innovative architecture and design firms. This evening’s talk will feature a conversation between Miriam Peterson and Nathan Rich, principals of P.R.O. – Peterson Rich Office, with Tod Williams of Tod Williams Billie TsienArchitects | Partners.

Founded by Miriam Peterson and Nathan Rich, P.R.O. advocates for an expanded role for design that crosses disciplinary boundaries. P.R.O. believes that design professionals are able to play the role of imaginative mediator, consensus builder, and trusted ally to multiple stakeholders simultaneously. This privileged role, one often overlooked by traditional firms, is not easily played by those outside of the practice.

Speakers:

Miriam Peterson, Principal, P.R.O. – Peterson Rich Office
Nathan Rich, Principal, P.R.O. – Peterson Rich Office
Tod Williams, FAIA, Principal, Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects | Partners
