The 5th International Iconic Houses Conference is almost here (May 15-18, 2018). The theme: Modernism on the East Coast – Philip Johnson and the Harvard Five.

This exciting three-day event, is interesting for everyone with a passion for modern houses and brings together the owners and curators of the world’s iconic modern house museums to talk about how to keep house museums functional and vibrant into the future. From the Netherlands, France, Germany, Cape Cod, Sydney, Russia, Los Angeles, Tokyo and beyond, these passionate advocates care for homes by architects like Wright, Gropius, Breuer, Eames, Melnikov, Le Corbusier, Mies and others. Keynote speaker terence Riley will focus on how Philip Johnson came to fall in love with modern architecture and how he influenced it as a curator at the Museum of Modern Art and as the architect in his own right.
