Exploring the New Penn-Farley Complex

When: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM MONDAY, DECEMBER 5

Where: At The Center

This past September, Governor Cuomo unveiled plans to develop a new Pennsylvania Station-Farley Complex. The new Complex will include the transformation of the historic James Farley Post Office into the Moynihan Train Hall as well as a redesign of the LIRR concourse and 34th street subway stations. With preconstruction work beginning this fall, AIANY is hosting the project’s development and design leaders to discuss what is taking place and look ahead towards their 2020 estimated completion.

This is the first in a series of events examining New York City’s public buildings and infrastructure. Join us for a conversation with Michael Evans, President of the Moynihan Station Development Corporation and the lead designer of the Moynihan Train Hall from SOM exploring the new Penn-Farley Complex, moderated by Professor Hilary Ballon of NYU.

Speakers:
Michael Evans, President, Moynihan Station Development Corporation
Design Lead, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill

Moderator
: Hilary Ballon, Professor of Urban Studies and Architecture, NYU

Price: Free for AIA members; $10 for non-members
