Please join us for a discussion of the book Ethics of the Urban: The City and the Spaces of the Political, edited by Mohsen Mostafavi.

Ethics of the Urban: The City and the Spaces of the Political looks at the politics of urban space. Through essays by architects, urban planners, historians, and others the book looks at how the planned nature of our cities interacts with the realities of use and issues such as power and identity. The book’s editor, Mohsen Mostafavi, will be joined in discussion  by two contributors, Michael Arad, whose essay is included in the Monuments and Memorial section, and Keller Easterling, whose essay is in the section on Public Space and Public Sphere.

Speakers:
Michael Arad, AIA, LEED AP, Partner, Handel Architects
Keller Easterling, Architect; Writer; Professor, Yale School of Architecture
Mohsen Mostafavi, Dean and Alexander and Victoria Wiley Professor of Design, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Editor, Ethics of the Urban: The City and the Spaces of the Political
